The ‘Foundation’ will return for season 4

As science fiction, we here in io9 love FoundationEven if the show did not obtain the general public buzz from certain other Apple TV +series. It is hardly a Breakup-The level Chockbuster. But as the third current season of the Asimov adaptation is preparing to broadcast its final, there is excellent news from the streamer: Foundation will come back for a fourth season. We can only assume that this means cliffhangers to Gogo in the final of tomorrow, as it is Foundation Tradition – But we are so satisfied with the announcement, we don’t even care (too much)!

In an Apple TV +press release, the Ian Goldberg and David Kob co-showrunners seemed properly excited and confirmed that they will both be back for more.

Season three brought back stars Jared Harris, Lee Pace, Lou Llobell, Laura Birn, Cassian Bilton, Terrence Mann and Rowena King; New characters have been played by Cherry Jones, Brandon P. Bell, Synnøve Karlsen, Cody Fern, Tómas Lemarquis, Alexander Siddig, Troy Kotsur and Pilou Asbæk.
