The governor of Ohio Mike Dewine calls for measures to be taken from the propeller bets
Mike Dewine, the Governor of Ohio, urged the Casino control commission to prohibit the propeller bets, deleting them from the legal list of bets which can be placed under the contractual rules of the State for operators.
The Governor’s request follows the scandal involving caretaker launchers, Luis Ortiz and Emmanuel Clase, who were sent on paid leave until the end of August after separate gaming probes.
A BET (Prop BET) proposal is a bet defined on a player or a team that is not necessarily linked to the full result of the game.
Ortiz surveys And Clase emerged after the Paris models were reported in IC360, the former incident focused on land on June 15 in Seattle, and June 27 against St Louis. The alarm was also raised with Sportsbook platforms.
The latter emerged more recently with a MLB statement confirming An investigation was launched.
IC360 is an organization for monitoring the integrity of the game which cooperates regularly with the best sports leagues, including the MLB, the NBA, the NFL and the NHL, as well as the university conferences and a range of Sportsbook operators.
The proof that the bets of accessories harm athletics in Ohio reaches critical mass. A particular problem concerns micro -accessories – propeller bets on very specific events in games completely controlled by a single player.

Evidence reaches a critical mass, explains the governor of Ohio
From now on, Governor Mike Dewine has exerted pressure on the sports and union commissioners concerned for the propeller bets to be endangered from the authorized list to “ensure integrity” of the respective leagues.
He specifically called the proliferation of micro-accessories bets and the damage caused, given the control that an individual player has on these events.
“The evidence that accessories bets harm athletics in Ohio reached critical mass,” said Dewine.
“First of all, there were threats to Ohio athletes, and now two Ohio high -level professional athletes have been suspended by Major League Baseball as part of a survey on sports betting ”, said the governor.
“The prejudice to athletes and the integrity of the game is clear, and the advantages are not worth the damage. The Paris experience of accessories in this country has failed badly. I call the casino control commission to correct this problem and delete all the propeller bets of Ohio Marketplace.”
Mike Dewine previously discussed the subject when athlete students from the University of Dayton received death threats compared to propeller bets. He took a position with the president of the NCAA, Charlie Barker, in February of last year to explode the impact on university sports and the need for the Ohio casino control commission to promulgate the change.
