The Lamborghini of the Ghanaian artist Shatta Wale went on alleged fraud linked to American fraud

The Ghanaian authorities have taken possession of a luxury car that would have been linked to the crime of the popular musician Charles Nii Armah, better known as Shatta Wale, following a request from the United States.

The 2019 Lamborghini Urus is said to be attached to the Criminal Company of Ghanaian Nana Kwabena Amuah, who is serving a sentence of seven years in prison in the United States for fraud.

Wale denies knowledge or links with the imprisoned Ghanaian, saying that he is a “third -party owner” of the car. “I don’t know who has shipped to the country,” he said.

Shatta Wale is one of the best known stars in Ghana and collaborated with Beyoncé on the song that was already on her album Lion King 2019.

Wale went to social networks to criticize the authorities on the recovery of the bright yellow Lamborghini, wondering why the police stormed his house with firearms.

“Bringing firearms to me was not called,” wrote the artist Dancehall on his social media page, accusing the director general of the humiliac agency.

Wale said he had bought the car for $ 150,000 ($ 113,000) and that he had presented officers’ support documents.

The Lamborghini is expected to be returned to the United States “as part of the restitution of $ 4.7 million (AMUAH),” said EOCO, adding that the FBI and the United States Ministry intended to officially request mutual legal assistance for its return.

The agency said the car had been civilly recovered without any incident.

“This is a standard security protocol for the officers of the Supervisory and Recovery Unit of assets to carry weapons during their operation for their safety,” EOCO said in a press release.

Wale was then authorized to personally abandon the car, which is now under the custody of EOCO.

The American judicial archives indicate that Auah and his co-conspirators had usurped the identity of suppliers to defraud nearly 70 public and private organizations across the country.

They prompted entities in the wiring of money in bank accounts controlled by the group through screens.

In 2023, Amuah was sentenced to 86 months in prison and the car would have been one of the articles reported as part of the victims’ restitution.
