The luminous side: Finnish fans celebrate the 80th anniversary of beloved characters Moomins
The Moomins, the characters of Finnish in the form of a hippopotamus created by Tove Jansson, celebrate their 80th anniversary. During the weekend, fans flocked for Tampere in southern Finland to celebrate the anniversary of the 1945 publication as well as Jansson’s birthday. The characters have since appeared in other books, comics and television shows.
