The firefighters were congratulated on Saturday to quickly contain one fire a day after threatening to destroy a historic mosque that has become a cathedral in the city of southern Cordoba. The spectacular fire, which broke out on Friday, was captured on video and widely shared on social networks, evoking memories of the 2019 fire which almost razed the famous Notre-Dame de France cathedral on the ground.
