Israel will indefinitely close the only passage between the West Bank and Jordan from Wednesday, the Palestinian and Jordanian authorities announced on Tuesday. This decision follows a deadly shooting last week in which a Jordanian truck driver killed an Israeli soldier and a reserve officer on the border, and only a few hours after France joined many Western countries to recognize a Palestinian state.
