More than 66,000 Palestinians were killed in the War of Israel-Hamas, the Gaza Ministry of Health said on Sunday before Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu went to the White House for interviews with US President Donald Trump by interrupting the current Israel offensive in the Gaza Strip.

Netanyahu underwent strong international pressure to end the war. The main Western allies, including Canada, have joined a growing list of countries recognizing a Palestinian state compared to Israeli objections. The European Union is considering sanctions against Israel and there are growing movements for a sporting and cultural boycott of the country.

After dozens of delegates came out of the room, a principal from Netanyahu told its world leaders on Friday in the United Nations General Assembly that its nation “was to end the work” against Hamas in Gaza while its soldiers pursued its offensive in Gaza City.

Dozens to the UN general meeting come out while Netanyahu of Israel speaks

The delegates of several nations left the United Nations General Assembly on Friday while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu intervened to address the world leaders. This comes as the deadly Israel campaign in Gaza has been approaching the two -year brand since the attack led by Hamas on October 7, 2023.

Trump has so far been behind Israel. But the American chief showed signs of impatience recently, in particular after the bombing of Qatar by Israel earlier this month in what seems to have been an unsuccessful attempt to kill the leadership of Hamas. During the meeting of the White House on Monday, Trump should share a new proposal to end the war.

Forty-eight hostages are still retained in captivity in Gaza, around 20 of them believed by living Israel. Display of ceasefire have been blocked since the largely condemned strike from Israel in Doha, Qatar.

Trump’s 21 ceasefire plan

Trump launched a 21-point proposal for an immediate ceasefire.

The proposal would include the release of all hostages within 48 hours and a gradual withdrawal of the Israeli forces of the Palestinian enclave, according to three Arab officials informed of the plan. The officials, who spoke under the cover of anonymity to discuss the current talks, said that the proposal was not final and that the changes are very likely.

Trump discussed the proposal with Arab leaders in New York on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly.

An official in Hamas said that the group had been informed of the plan but had not yet received an official offer from Egyptian mediators and Qatari. Hamas said it was ready to “study all proposals positively and in a responsible manner”.

The official said that the group had previously declared that he was willing to release all hostages in exchange for the end of the war and a complete withdrawal of the Israeli band forces.

The American ambassador to Israel will be in Cairo to push the ceasefire

The United States Ambassador to Israel, Mike Huckabee, will go to Cairo to meet Egyptian officials to discuss the ceasefire as well as Egyptian’s flavored ties with Israel, officials.

The trip will probably take place at the beginning of next month, according to two Egyptian officials who spoke under the cover of anonymity because the details of the trip have not yet been published. The United States Embassy in Israel said Huckabee will go to Cairo as “regular diplomatic consultations” between regional partners.

The relationship between Israel and Egypt – the first Arab country to establish links with Israel – collapsed in recent months about the attack by Doha of Israel and worries that the Palestinians have extracted outside the Gaza Strip could flood in Egypt. Israel also expressed his concern in the face of an Egyptian military accumulation in the Sinai peninsula, a violation of the 1979 peace treaty between the two countries.

Constable explosions reported in Gaza

Local hospitals in the Gaza center said that at least 10 people were killed when at least two strikes hit houses in the Nuseirat refugee camp.

The ministry said that in its daily report, the death review had increased to 66,005, with 168,162 injured since the October 7 attack in Hamas. Among the dead were 79 that have been brought to hospitals in the past 24 hours, he said.

The ministry does not make the difference between civilians and activists in its record, but said that women and children represent about half of the dead. Its figures are considered a reliable estimate of the UN and many independent experts.

Residents said they had heard explosion sounds overnight through the city, probably from the demolition of buildings through the detonation of vehicles and robots loaded with explosives.

“They were constantly,” said Sayed Baker, a Palestinian who shelters near the Al-Shifa hospital, about the explosions.

The Israeli army did not immediately comment on strikes, but said it had reached 140 military targets from Hamas in the past 24 hours, including activists, observation equipment and infrastructure.

Israel’s offensive has destroyed large Gaza areas, moved around 90% of the population and caused a catastrophic humanitarian crisis, experts saying that Gaza City experiences famine.
