The quarrel between Grok and Chatgpt has become real

Elon Musk accused Openai and Apple of engaging in a sort of business plot to inhibit small companies in AI (you know, like hers) of Florishing. Now, his business, XAI, continues the two companies, accusing them of having used “anti -competitive” practices to cancel their competitors (again, you know, like Musk).
The trial, which was filed on Monday in Texas, argues that the two companies were conforming to make the ChatPPT the “only generator cat cat who benefits from billions of user prompts from hundreds of millions of iphones”. The costume argues that Apple and Openai are “monopolists” who, in order to maintain an advantage over their competitors, have manipulated the Apple App Store classification to maintain chatgpt at the top of the graphics. The trial was preceded by Musk’s public complaints on how Apple held its own chatbot, Grok, to succeed. These complaints occurred after the release of the latest version of Grok, with less than stellar download results.
The New York Times writes:
At first, Mr. Musk posted on how the chatbot took place in the classification of the App Store. But when he did not reach first place, Mr. Musk declared on X that Apple had committed “an unequivocal antitrust violation” and added that Apple “behaved in a way that makes an IA company impossible in addition to Openai to reach n ° 1 in the App Store”.
The XAI trial largely repeats these statements: “Apple’s exclusive arrangement and Openai has made chatgpt the only generative AI chatbot integrated into the iPhone,” said the costume. “This means that if iPhone users want to use a generative AI chatbot for key tasks on their devices, they have no choice but to use Chatgpt, even if they prefer to use more innovative and imaginative products like XAI GROK.”
The dispute requires a trial with jury and the recovery of “billions of damages”. Gizmodo contacted Apple, Openai and Xai to comment. In a press release shared with Gizmodo, an Openai spokesperson said: “This last deposit complies with the current harassment of Mr. Musk.”
In progress is right. Elon’s resentment against Altman could well be compared to the eternal flame. He continued Openai for the first time last year, accusing the company of betraying his mission to humanity. A few months later, the trial was withdrawn. Musk then continued the company two months later, accusing him of a breach of contract and claiming that she had “cheated on”. The enlarged dispute included the OPENAI trading partner, Microsoft. Openai subsequently contradicted. Changing tactics, Musk then attempted to buy Openai in Altman earlier this year in an unsolicited offer worth $ 97.5 billion. Altman fell Musk with a sordid tweet. “No thank you, but we will buy Twitter for $ 9.74 billion if you wish,” he wrote on the Musk’s own platform (Altman’s “Offer” was notably $ 34 billion less than Musk paid for this). Elon replied by calling Altman a “crook”.
For a large part of this period, Musk and Altman added to tensions bickering online. A few weeks ago, the two executives entered X, in which Musk said that Optai was not just playing. “They prevent any other IA company from succeeding by promoting tirelessly Openai in any way possible!” Musk moans. Altman replied: “This is a remarkable affirmation given what I heard that Elon does to manipulate X to benefit himself and his own businesses and harm his competitors and people he does not like.”
Can all this be retraced to the fact that Musk was once co-founder and member of the board of directors of Openai, but now, having separated from the company, must be forced to watch it flourish, while its own IA business is often the target of jokes? There is simply no way to say it. Why these guys do something is a total mystery, but it certainly seems that there are injured feelings in play (not to mention billions of dollars).
