The search mandate finds an illegal and more game machine at the Pike County service station

Friday, September 19, a search warrant was conducted in a service station in the County of Pike, in Alabama, the investigators entering the American currency, an electronic play flag and other articles and accessories related to the game.

The Pike County Sheriff Bureau published a statement, sharing that they had executed the search warrant in the premises of the Marathon service station in the 7000 block of the US Highway 231 in Brundidge.

The mandate was issued following an investigation into illegal game activities and transactions alleged on the site. It was then that the investigators of the sheriff’s office, the Patrouille deputies, the Sheriff Russell Thomas, and the district prosecutor James Tarbox carried out the research, the scene being provided by members of the special Sheriff’s response team and in coordination with the Patrol deputies and the Brundidge police service.

“The evidence collected by investigators from the Sheriff’s Office have revealed many illegal activities to include scratching style lottery tickets during a sale, electronic game games being promoted and Pusher style machines in progress,” the press release said.

“One of the machines used served as a conduit to players to insert bets, play illegal games on their mobile phone via a downloaded application, then return to the store to collect all the machine’s winnings.”

Articles and accessories linked to the game entered in Pike County

Investigators involved seized more than $ 25,000 in American currency, more than 30 rollers of scratch -style lottery tickets, an electronic game hub, two coins style machines and various other articles related to the game.

The Sheriff Thomas said about the RAID: “I am very proud of work and time and energy performance that was devoted to this case, to stop the illegal game there. With this type of illegal activity and the large number of people playing these games, other crimes are also associated with an illegal game. I want to personally thank the district prosecutor.

The survey remains in progress, no arrest having been carried out. The funds and articles seized will be subject to a civil confiscation case which will be deposited by the office of the Pike County Prosecutor.
