The snowstorm trap 1000 people on the slopes of Mont Everest

Living efforts are underway on Tibetan slopes far from Mount Everest where a snow storm has trapped nearly 1,000 people in campsites on the east side of the mountain, according to Chinese media.

Hundreds of local villagers and rescue teams have been deployed to eliminate access to snow from the area which is at an altitude of more than 4,900 meters (16,000 feet).
