The Southern Dakota Games Commission warns of the increase in illegal online casinos
Another government organization had to come forward to warn its voters “fraudulent online casinos”. This time, the Southern Dakota Commission on Games (SDCG) published a press release with a surface warning to those who use or plan to use them.
The press release does not appoint any particular website and acts more as general advice. Similarly to the case in Florida, where a tribe tries to repel the advertisements that claim to direct online casinos under them, those responsible for southern Dakota noticed an increase in a similar activity.

Detailed in the press release, the SDCG claims that it has spotted advertisements that “imitate the brand” of the Deadwood and Tribal Casinos in the state. This underlines that a way to identify a false casino is if the URL, it finally sends you, seems “suspect”.
In addition, the Commission had to reiterate that “any online platform offering casino style games such as slot machines, table games, sports betting or digital card games is not authorized” in the state.
Some sites also perform “unrealistic bonuses or promised guaranteed gains”. Although the rest of the press release gives some advice on how to avoid these illegal casinos, the United States is currently faced with an illegal online casino epidemic or Offsh.
