“ The Vampire Diaries ” almost launched Sebastian Stan from Marvel, reveals the new book

Vampire newspapers helped define the gender days of the CW, and for many fans, this is also the moment they discovered Star Trek: Strange new worlds Actor Paul Wesley. He was thrown alongside the Costar Ian Somerhalder to play the Vampire Brothers Damon and Stefan Salvatore, but things could have been very different: Sebastian Stan of Marvel almost received the call to play the character.

The co-creators of the Plec and Kevin Williamson show did not think that Wesley was heart material, but Plec admitted to be “bad to death”.

But if finding the right man for Stefan was difficult, being satisfied with an actor from Damon Salvatore was more difficult: Orson and Gelles-Raymond interviewed some 400 people for the role. Meanwhile, Ian Somerhalder had just left Lost And wanted “wider” equipment.
