Thousands of left-wing protesters descend on Washington to protest Trump’s inauguration


Thousands of people, mostly female protesters, turned up Washington, DC to protest the inauguration of President-Elect Trump on Monday. However, the crowd is only one-tenth of the half million who attended the Women’s March in 2017.

Saturday’s march, also known as the “People’s March,” is being held in three different locations with demonstrations that promote various causes of the left wing and show solidarity to the new movement.

This morning, a kick-off event was held in Franklin Park for “gender justice” and physical independence, then demonstrators marched through town before heading to the Lincoln Memorial for the day’s main event.
