The demonstrations led by the families of the hostages have recently intensified

More than 15,000 people went down to the streets of Israel to ask for the end of the war in the Gaza Strip and urged Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to accept an agreement to release the remaining hostages.

Families and supporters of the hostages are always detained by Hamas, a Bike in Jerusalem, Place Paris, with others gathering in Tel Aviv.

Of the 48 hostages still held in Gaza, up to 20 years are considered alive.

Israel has not yet officially responded to an agreement that would see the publication of certain hostages, but previously demanded the return of all hostages in any agreement. Netanyahu insists that the total victory over Hamas will bring the hostages home.

Hamas brought back 251 hostages to Gaza after its attack in southern Israel on October 7, 2023, during which around 1,200 people died.

Israel launched a massive reprisal campaign to destroy Hamas, which led to the death of at least 64,368 Palestinians, according to figures from the Ministry of Health managed by Hamas. The UN considers the reliable figures, although Israel disputes them.

Voices of protest against the Israeli streets and international demands of some of the Israel’s allies to stop its military offensive in Gaza increased regularly.

However, all the signs are that the Israeli defense forces (FDI) are preparing to intensify the war, while the government of Netanyahu promises to take total control of the Gaza Strip and finally to defeat Hamas.

Saturday evening, such as Aviv and Jerusalem saw some of the biggest demonstrations in recent months calling for the exit of the remaining hostages and at the end of the war.

Within the voice of the Netanyahu residence in the city, the president of the president called on the Israeli Prime Minister to conclude an agreement with Hamas who would see the safe return of their relatives, almost two years after their abduction.

Among the many family members with angry messages for Netanyahu, there was the mother of Matan Antrest, a TSAhal soldier detained in Gaza.

“It is not a threat, Mr. Prime Minister. If something happens, you will pay him – it is the word of a mother,” cried Anat Amagrest, according to the Times of Israel.

Many demonstrators say that the expansion of war will endanger the life of hostages.

If Netanyahu was indeed in his neighboring house in Jerusalem, the calls of parents and supporters seem to fall into the ears of a deaf.

The besieged Prime Minister of Israel but resolved has not shown no sign of the war, even if many former military leaders have said on several occasions that the FDI had probably produced as much as it can militarily in Gaza, without putting the life of hostages more and exacerbating the desperate humanitarian crisis.

This is a point of view, apparently, also owned by many army generals, but their government is now asked by their government to prepare for a huge foray in land in order to go beyond the city of Gaza and the rest of the Palestinian enclave damaged by war.

Netanyahu’s Minister of Defense, Israel Katz, went several times to social networks in recent days, displaying videos of high -rise buildings in Gaza City has exploded the defending message that it was only the beginning.

Israel justifies the destruction of the most important buildings in Gaza because it says they are used by Hamas as “control and control centers”.

He denies the accusations of implementing a “burned land” policy – the systematic destruction of buildings and public houses to make Gaza practically uninhabitable.

Katz had previously threatened to “open the doors to hell” when Israel had warned the residents of Gaza City to leave for the so-called “humanitarian enclave” of Al-Mawasi further south.

But nowhere in Gaza can be described realistically as “safe” and Al-Mawasi has itself been targeted several times by Israeli air strikes in which dozens of people were killed-many, including several children last week.

The American ambassador to Israel says that recognition of the Palestinian state is disastrous

It is in this backdrop that many allies of Israel called on several occasions at the end of the fighting in Gaza and an urgent return to cease-fire negotiations.

“We are extremely concerned about the humanitarian disaster in Gaza and that is why we repeat our calls to Israel to arrest the military offensive,” Denmussen Foreign Minister Lars Rasmussen said on Sunday during a visit to Jerusalem.

This message was politely ignored by his Israeli counterpart, Gideon Sa’ar, who has not been so subtly warned that the intention of certain European nations to soon recognize the Palestinian State would be counterproductive and could have disastrous consequences.

Questioned by a journalist where the government of Netanyahu was standing on very controversial proposals to annex the occupied Palestinian West Bank, Sa’ar said: “We had discussions on this issue with the Prime Minister and there will be a decision. I do not have to draw up.”

The Minister of Foreign Affairs also declared that he had recently talked to the American Secretary of State Marco Rubio on this subject, in the midst of other reports citing American officials, notably Mike Huckabee – the high -level American ambassador to Israel – who indicated that the Trump administration “would not tell Israel what is necessary” if he chooses to declare sovereignty over a large part of the West

If this happened, tensions in an already divided region would increase one or two notches.

The number of deaths in Gaza continues to increase while the position of Israel hardens.

According to local officials.

The Gaza Ministry of Health also reported that five people died during the same period, including three children, from famine and malnutrition.

In this context, Netanyahu deeply digs.

“If I have to choose between the victory over our enemies and the nasty propaganda against us – I choose victory,” said Prime Minister on Sunday when he clearly made Israeli troops “deepened the maneuvers” around and inside Gaza City.
