Three dead and several injured after shooting Us Waterfront Bar

Three people died and several others were injured after a shooter opened the fire of a boat in a sealed sea bar in Southport, in North Carolina, according to officials.
The attack took place on Saturday evening in front of the American Fish Company at the Yacht Southport basin.
City spokesperson Chyann Ketchum said that a boat stopped around the platform around 9:30 p.m. local time (01:30 GMT) before the striker opens fire. The attacker then fled by boat to the intracoastal navigable track.
The officials said that a suspect corresponding to the description had been arrested half an hour later by the American Coast Guard on the island of Oak, about 12 miles (19 km) west of the stage.
The identity of the suspect was not released by the police.
Southport police chief Todd described the incident as “a very tragic night” for the community.
The city is home to just under 4,000 people. “We are a small community, one of the communities in which everyone knows everyone,” said Coring chief.
He said that perhaps six people had been injured, who are now treated in hospital. The deceased was not identified by the police.
The incident prompted Southport officials to publish a statement urging people to stay at home while an active shooting survey was underway.
“I am comfortable saying that we do not think there are additional threats to the community,” said the Coring chief.
