Top Democrat says that the influencer of Maga Laura Loomer derailed the classified meeting

One of the best Democrats in Congress criticizes the right -wing influencer Laura Loomer for the cancellation of a meeting recently planned between him and senior intelligence officials. On Tuesday, Senator Mark Warner (D-Virginia), the best democrat of the Senate intelligence committee, said that a “routine” meeting between him and the officials of the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency had derailed following publications on Loomer’s social networks about him, a sign of his continuous influence on the Trump administration.
“During the weekend, the conspiracy theorist, Laura Loomer, discovered the unpublished and classified visit and launched a basic attack campaign against me and the director of the NGA, the vice-admiral Trey Whitworth for having welcomed what has always been considered a routine surveillance meeting,” wrote Warner on her website. According to the senator, “the names politicians canceled the visit” after the criticism of the Loomer and deplored that it is “the last example of an administration which seems desperately to please, a figure with a long story of extreme and bizarre marginal views, including the denialism of September 11, campaigns of anti-Muslim harassment and associations with white supremacists.”
Warner added: “This naked political decision undermines the devoted and not supporter staff of the NGA and threatens the principle of civil surveillance which protects our national security.”
The government seems to have a different interpretation of Warner’s events. When he was contacted to comment on Gizmodo, a defense official relayed the following: “The national visit to the geospatial intelligence agency was reprogrammed, not canceled, in order to adapt the bipartite participation in the town hall event.”
Most Loomer’s articles on Warner and Whitworth seem to have been published on August 31. In an article, the national intelligence director labeled Tulsi Gabbard and quipped: “How do you feel about this left senator who talks about yourself while being welcomed inside Nga for a cat by the fire ”? I told myself that NGA is still there. ”
After Warner published his declaration on Loomer this week, the influencer continued to publish on the senator, calling him “liar and communist fraud!” And the tight with a tweet that simply read “Cry Plus, Slut”.
Why the loss – a theorist of the disarticulated plot without professional experience known in politics or in media – has such an oversized influence on the Trump administration continues to be a mystery. Of course, Loomer has a relatively high number of followers – with 1.7 million x users, but again, Ben Shapiro too (he has almost 8 million). Unlike Shapiro, however, Loomer has been credited with career assassinations of many high -ranking government representatives. Wherever the Boomer locked tweets have thrown their ardent look, an unfortunate end of employment generally follows. The unlucky ones has included the best regulator of the FDA vaccine, an NSA lawyer, the clumsy “signalgate” manager Mike Waltz and a CIA doctor, among others.
That said, Loomer does not always succeed with his successful work on social networks. She has repeatedly targeted the Dopey Attorney General of Trump, Pam Bondi, on her handling of Jeffrey Epstein’s files – in vain.
A few weeks ago, the free press reported that the White House staff had “had” it with loomer. “Laura is more difficult than it is worth,” said an administration official at the point of sale. “She is used to amplifying the Maga line roughly, but now it is quite clear that she has her own agenda.” Meanwhile, another White House official said: “There is a wide understanding here that it is not entirely guided by loyalty to the president, but external commercial interests.”
This theory – This loomer is an ideological mercenary that tweets the things she paid to tweet – has gained ground in certain conservative circles. He appeared shortly after the eviction of the FDA vaccine regulator, Dr. Vinay Prasad, who was expelled from Trumpland last month following Loomer tweets accusing the disloyalty to Trump. The rampart had previously reported the conflict between Prasad and a pharmaceutical company that preceded its evidence:
… Several figures on the right have noted that Loomer’s attacks against Prasad also came in the middle of a large -scale fight between Prasad and Sarepta, a manufacturer of drug -based drugs, on the treatment of the company for Duchenne’s muscular dystrophy.
Prasad was a long -standing critic of the FDA’s decision to approve Sarepta’s drug, Elenidys. This confrontation reached a new level last month after three patients – two of whom took elements, and the one who took related treatment – was deposited with what seemed to be acute liver toxicity. The FDA has suspended Elevedys’ clinical trials.
On Monday, shortly before the resignation of Prasad, the FDA reversed and said that patients who could walk could still receive the medication, saying that the death of a patient had not been linked.
Due to circumstantial evidence like this, some in the Maga world see the proof of the influence of the company in Loomer’s tweets. If that was true, it would not make it particularly unique. The whole influence industry is based on paid advertisements, although this generally applies to products instead of political opinions. That said, the payment mentions seem to be relatively common in the infotainment sphere. Loomer, in turn, accused his compatriot Maga Maniac Tucker Carlson of being funded by Qatar, an accusation he denied.
