“I’ve never heard anyone talk about ‘three-peat’ (or) anything like that,” he said confidently. Travis Kelceone of the team’s captains, said in his upcoming ESPN preview interview and Chris Berman. “We’re focused on the Houston Texans right now.”
The Chiefs, ranked No. 1 in the AFC conference, will face the Texans on Saturday, January 18, in a divisional game. The winner advances to the conference championship against the Buffalo Bills or Baltimore Ravens. Of course, the AFC champion will get a spot in the Super Bowl against the NFC title holder.
“Anybody can get beat in the playoffs if you don’t come with the right mindset and the right mindset from training camp and throughout the season,” Kelce, 35, explained before Saturday’s football game. “We have a very old team like this. We have many leaders in different ways. Guys step up and guys just understand the job you have.”
If the Chiefs win the Super Bowl next month, they will become the first NFL team to win the championship three times in a row. Kelce, in particular, was signed by the Missouri team where he received the Lombardi trophy in 2020, 2023 and 2024 respectively. (The Kings beat the San Francisco 49ers in 2020 and 2023, and the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023.)
The 2024 big game was a very special one for Kelce. In addition to winning the cup, he succeeded enjoy the moment and a kiss on the side of a boyfriend Taylor Swiftwho started dating in 2023. The pop star, 35, has been very popular during her football career and is expected to appear on Saturday.
