Trump brings the presidential fitness test for public schools

President Donald Trump restored the presidential physical conditioning test in public schools on Thursday.

First, in the 1950s to assess the health and athletics of young people, the evaluation included sit-ups, pumps, pull-ups and a sit-and-fire test. It also included a competitive component, recognizing the best performers with the Presidential Fitness Award.

The test was interrupted in 2012 and replaced by a fitness program during the mandate of Barack Obama.
