US President Donald Trump left the door open to a grace for Ghislaine Maxwell on Monday, found guilty of helping the deceased financial and sexual delinquent Jeffrey Epstein to sexually abuse adolescent girls.

Trump also said that Sean “Diddy” Combs, who was sentenced to more than four years in prison on Friday for his conviction for prostitution accusations, asked for his grace.

The same day that the United States Supreme Court refused to hear Maxwell’s request to cancel his conviction, when he was asked if he would release Maxwell through grace, he said that he would speak to the Ministry of Justice.

“I haven’t heard this name for so long. I can say this, that I should take a look at it. I should take a look,” he said. “I will speak to Doj.”

The Epstein affair harassed Trump and his Ministry of Justice for months, overwhelming the political base of Trump, Make America Great Again, who was unusually critical of the administration for not having disclosed more information on the crimes of Epstein and his alleged partners.

Trump and Epstein were friends but argued. Epstein died in a Manhattan prison cell in 2019.

Giving a thanks to Maxwell would have a political risk for Trump. His supporters and democratic opponents demanded that the administration publish the Epstein investigation files of the Ministry of Justice.

The president said that many people had asked him for forgiveness and referred to Combs. “I call him ‘Puff Daddy’ and he asked me for forgiveness,” said Trump.
