Trump up shoulders again hack suspecting Russia’s documents

President Donald Trump was questioned on the recent hack of a computer system on Wednesday which contains very sensitive Federal Court documents. Russia is suspected of being behind the attack, as reported by the New York Times on Tuesday. But Trump does not seem to think that it was a big problem, even if the president is preparing to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin.
A journalist asked Trump if he would play the hack when he meets Putin in Alaska on Friday. “I guess I could,” replied Trump without getting into anything. “Are you surprised, you know?” Are you surprised they hack? That’s what they do. “
Trump continued by saying, “They are good in this area. We are good in this area. We are actually better, but no, I heard about it. I heard about it. ” The president has a long history of brushing attacks against the United States as insignificant because America has done the same kind of thing to his opponents. And although it is true, it is not the kind of thing that us, the presidents, generally say to excuse attacks against the United States and subsequent inaction.
Trump recently went so far as to admit that he authorized Iran to bomb an American base in Qatar, suggesting that it is just the kind of thing that should be authorized. “They said,” We’re going to shoot them. An hour is it ok? I said it was good, “Trump said at a press conference in June. “And everyone was emptied of the base so that they cannot injure themselves, except for the Gunners.” It is easy to imagine how the Republicans would have answered if a president like Barack Obama or Joe Biden gave another country a green light to attack the United States
The New York Times describes the hacking of the archives of the Federal Court as an “effort of several years”, and it is not clear which specific entity could have been involved. It is not clear either if countries in addition to Russia or known hacking groups have been able to contribute to the effort. An internal memo of the US Ministry of Justice of the administrators of the system system, known as the Pace, describes the hack as “persistent and sophisticated”, compromising the “sealed files” which are not otherwise available to the public.
Reporter: There are new reports according to which the Russians hacked computer systems which manage the documents of the American federal courts. Do you plan to do it with Putin?
Trump: I guess I could. Are you surprised? They hay – what they are doing

Compromise files come from judicial districts of various states, notably New York, southern Dakota, Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota and Arkansas, according to Times. Attempts to infiltrate the system of files of the Federal Court date at least in January 2021, according to a press release from that time. This version was published on January 6, 2021, the day of Trump’s attempted coup d’etat at the American Capitol, although it is not clear if the attacks are somehow linked to Russia’s preference for Trump as president. Russia has not been appointed the entity that is trying to access sensitive legal documents at the time, but the Times reports that the federal officials of the application of laws thought that Russia was behind it.
Trump should meet Putin on Friday, although he accidentally said he was going Russia During a press conference on Tuesday: “You know, I’m going to see Putin. I’m going to Russia on Friday. I don’t like being here, talking about how I’m not safe and how abbreviated (is).”
Trump, whose mind often seems to slide (he called Saint Petersburg as “Leningrad” on Wednesday), in fact meets the Russian chief with a base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage. The presidents will discuss the means of ending the war in Ukraine, which has been raging since Russia invaded in early 2022. Trump promised to stop the war even before its swarming in office, although this has obviously not happened.
A journalist asked Trump if he would ask Putin to bomb civilians, to which he replied “no”, insisting that he had already had this discussion with the Russian chief. President Trump rather insisted that he was going to end the war, something he described as “Biden’s war”, as he often does to escape the responsibility of his inability to put an end to the conflict.
Trump then pivoted to talk about what he called the “Russian hoax”, a reference to the main contacts that his campaign had with Russian agents in the 2016 presidential election and subsequent surveys. By his own admission, Putin wanted Trump to become president, which Trump has denied so often that many apolitical observers assume that this must be true. Trump had even publicly encouraged Putin to hack Hillary Clinton’s emails in July 2016, which the Russians finally succeeded.
Ukraine president Volodymyr Zelensky received a call with Trump and European leaders Wednesday morning before Trump’s press conference in Kennedy Center. Zelensky was excluded from Friday meeting with Putin, but Trump said he will include Ukraine in discussions if it goes well.
“If the first is fine, we will have a second second,” said Trump. “I would like to do it almost immediately, and we will have a second quick meeting between President Putin and President Zelensky, and I wanted to have it.”
