Trump called the Attorney General Pam Bondi to continue his political enemies on Saturday

President Donald Trump called the highest official of the law enforcement, the Attorney General Pam Bondi, to investigate his political opponents more in a aggressive manner.

In an article on social networks addressed directly to Bondi, he said: “We can no longer delay, this kills our reputation and our credibility.”

Trump expressed his frustration that “nothing is done”, before calling Bondi to investigate the former director of the FBI James Comey, the Prosecutor General of New York, Letitia James and the Democratic Senator Adam Schiff, who supervised his first indictment.

Shortly after, he posted again to rent Bondi who, according to him, “did an excellent job”.

“I have reviewed more than 30 declarations and messages saying that, essentially,” even an old story as the last time, all discussions, no action. Nothing is done. And Comey, Adam “Shifty” Schiff, Leticia ??? They are all guilty like hell, but nothing will be done, “Trump said on Saturday.

His statement was strongly criticized by the Democrats, notably the head of the Senate minority, Chuck Schumer, who said that “it was the way towards a dictatorship”.

“The Ministry of Justice has always been a very, very strong public service, regardless of who was in charge, Democrat or Republican. They continued offenders to the law without fear or favor,” he told CNN on Sunday.

“He makes him an instrument that goes after his enemies, whether guilty or not,” he said about the president.

Asked about his comments on Sunday, Trump said: “They must act. They must act quickly.”

“I think Pam Bondi will become one of the best generals of ages,” he said.

The post of president once came after the federal prosecutor Erik Siebert left his post after Trump said he wanted to resign for not having prosecuted the New York prosecutor, Letitia James, for allegations of mortgage fraud.

The New York Times reported that Siebert had declared the senior officials of the Ministry of Justice that their investigations had not found enough evidence to prosecute James.

James, a democrat who won a civil fraud trial against Trump in 2023, denied the allegations of mortgage fraud as “baseless” and motivated by “revenge”.

Trump said on Saturday that Siebert had been dismissed and had not arrested. “I dismissed him, and there is a big case, and many lawyers and legal experts,” he said, “he said.

Trump also praised Bondi and said he had appointed a replacement for Siebert.

“She is very prudent, very intelligent, likes our country, but needs a hard prosecutor in the Oriental District of Virginia, like my recommendation, Lindsey Halligan, to make things happen,” he said.

During his electoral campaign, Trump promised to take revenge on several of his perceived political enemies – including former President Joe Biden – and others who have opposed him.

He revoked security authorizations – which allows people to access classified documents – of several officials, including James and the Manhattan district prosecutor, Alvin Bragg, who brought the Hush -Money criminal case,

He dismissed several prosecutors who worked for special Jack Smith lawyer on two criminal probes against him. He also took measures against law firms with lawyers involved in surveys on allegations against him, in particular the firm who used the former special lawyer Robert Mueller.
