In dismissing the head of the agency who produces monthly job figures, President Donald Trump allegedly alleged that recent figures weakest as expected were false and that the positive figures reported before the 2024 elections were manipulated to make it look bad.

It is a familiar cadence that Trump adopted to react to job reports: he treats figures as legitimate when they are favorable to him and fraudulent when they are less than stellar or seem to benefit his opponent.

A look at some Trump’s observations on job reports in the past year:

“The stock markets are blocking, the employment numbers are terrible, we are heading to the World War, and we have two of the most incompetent” leaders “in history. It is not good !!!” – Trump publish on social social

Suggesting that President Joe Biden and Vice -President Kamala Harris were responsible, Trump reacted to the news that US employees had added 114,000 jobs in July – 35% less than expected – and that the unemployment rate was at his highest level in almost three years.

“The jobs of today’s jobs is a great embarrassment for our nation. Kamala has lied for years on their pathetic growth in employment, which has never been real. Kamala killed 46,000 manufacturing jobs, while 773,000 Americans have lost jobs in the past year – all that their jobs have been taken by workers abroad. America is a nation. Great again! Go vote! – Trump publish on social social

Days before the presidential election, Trump had to say that American employers had added only 12,000 jobs in October, a total which, according to economists, had been held by the effects of strikes and hurricanes who temporarily left many workers.

“Nearly 250,000 people have abandoned the active population. They abandoned because they could not find a job. Can you imagine this? Can you imagine? These are the figures, and they don’t want to talk about it, but it’s ok. These figures are disqualifying. ” – Trump Campaign Rally in Raleigh, North Carolina

According to Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, around 220,000 people left the United States civil workforce from September to October 2024 during the Biden presidency.

“Excellent work numbers, much better than expected. It already works. Hang on, we cannot lose !!!” – Trump publish on social social

Trump quickly praised the news that in March, American employers had added 228,000 surprising jobs, showing that the American labor market was in good condition while he was embarking on a risky trade war with the rest of the world. The number of hires was up compared to 117,000 in February and was almost double the 130,000 that economists expected.

June 6, 2025

“Excellent work numbers, grant at the top! At the same time, billions of billions of prices !!!” – Trump publish on social social

Trump enthusiastically responded to the initial figures for the May employment report, which indicated that the economy added 139,000 jobs.

This estimate was then revised at 125,000 jobs, before the most recent revision at only 19,000.

August 1, 2025

“I have been informed that the” job numbers “of our country are produced by a man named Biden, Dr. Erika Mcentarfer, the labor statistics commissioner, who simulated job figures before the elections to try to stimulate the chances of victory in Kamala. – Trump publish on social social

Trump ousted Mcentarfer following a report showed that hiring slows down in July and was much lower in May and June than before, contesting the following days to the reviews of job figures which are regular with monthly relationships.
