An unidentified soldier killed two respected judges outside Iran’s Supreme Court on Saturday in what officials said was a terrorist attack, according to government reports.
The attacker opened fire in a square near the headquarters of the Supreme Court in the capital Tehran Islamic Republic News Agency said.
The judges, Ali Razini and Mohammad Moqiseh, had a long career and presided over cases involving national security, espionage and terrorism, according to court rulings and state media reports.
Both were heads of the Supreme Court branches. A third judge was injured in the attack.

The attacker killed himself before police could arrest him, Mizan said. The police opened an investigation.
