The online social game operator VGW has confirmed a conditional partnership with the Nation Kletsel Dehe Wintun from the Cortina Rancheria tribe in California.

The online social game operator VGW has confirmed a conditional partnership with the Nation Kletsel Dehe Wintun from the Cortina Rancheria tribe in California.

VGW will work directly with the Kletsel Economic Development Authority (Keda) – The economic branch of the tribe – to extend the availability of free online social play platforms, including promotions of prints

The partnership appeared in the midst of the disputed debates surrounding AB 831, a bill to fully prohibit the casinos of the competition, which was supported by other tribes of the Golden State.

They consider the competition and the “illegal online games” as a threat to consensus, risking funding for local communities and public services.

Conversely, Keda has a different perspective, as his CEO Eric Wright expressed when he recently told the California Senate Credit Committee on the transformer potential for digital platforms for tribal communities.

In a letter to the Committee, he talked about the opportunity to finance critical needs, such as food, health care, housing and education, while taking advantage of the opportunity to denounce AB831 for his lack of tribal support unanimous.

Communication also explained their position and what differentiates them from other tribal communities.

“For tribes like ours, far from tourist corridors with high traffic, geography has always limited traditional economic development.

“The large well -established game tribes already benefit from these geographic advantages and these decades of success. It allows them to defend policies that restore emerging digital trade opportunities for others, effectively holding smaller and less advantageous tribes hostage to their location. ”

We take the social responsibility of companies seriously, says VGW

VGW is committed to being a “responsible citizen business” to establish a gold standard for industry on players’ protections, age verification and questions of conformity.

Laurence Escalante, the founder and CEO of VGW, who recently approved a buyout offer, expressed the company’s satisfaction in terms of partnership with Keda, as well as the welcome to the opposition of the tribe in AB831.

In a press release, he said: “We operate in North America for more than a decade, creating not only big games, user experiences and entertainment, but ensuring that it is done in complete safety, in a responsible manner and at the highest level of standards – in accordance with our fundamental value of` `We do what is well ‘.

“But we recognize that our commercial and innovative industry has developed, an external interest for what we do has increased, including the way we support and engage in the communities in which we operate. We take the social responsibility of companies seriously and are delighted to have found a tribal partner like Keda. ”
