Vuelta A Espana: Abandoned final stage due to pro-Palestinian demonstrations in Madrid

The last stage of the Vuelta was Espana was abandoned after pro-Palestinian demonstrators entered part of the course in the center of Madrid.

The demonstrators overthrew the barriers and occupied the road to several points from the route, including Gran via, where the cyclists had to pass several times.

More than 1,000 police officers had been deployed in the streets of the Spanish capital, with expected demonstrations.

There have been various events against the Israeli pre-presidential technological team throughout Vuelta of this year, forcing certain stages to shorten.
