Great Britain and Portugal should recognize the state of Palestine on Sunday, before a key week at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, where a dozen countries can follow the plunge to put pressure on Israel on Gaza. The British media report that Prime Minister Keir Starmer will announce this decision despite strong Israeli opposition.
