THE Cricket control advice in India (BCCI) a severe recall to state associations according to which all players under centrally contract must participate in national tournaments when they are available. The directive follows the surprise omission of STAT And Mohammed Siraj of the South Zone team for the next Duleep trophy – answering questions about the prestige and the quality of the competition.

BCCI’s company is held on the participation of players in the Duleep trophy

The Duleep trophy is traditionally a key platform for the preparation and national selection of the red balloon. By reaffirming its importance, the BCCI has clearly indicated: unless, unless, unless international or officially exempt, all players under centralized contract must prove to be for their zonal sides.

Abey Kuruvilla, Director General of BCCI cricket operations, communicated this to state units and Zonal officials, stressing: “To maintain its prestige and ensure the highest quality of competition, it is imperative that all the players of India currently available are selected for their respective zonal teams.”

Controversy on the omission of key players from the southern zone team

The announcement of the South Zone team omitted Rahul, Siraj, Washington Sundar and Sai Sudharsan, which caused the intervention of the board of directors. The BCCI policy in 2024 has already warned that centralized contractual players jumped domestic cricket without authorization from the national coach, the chairman of the selection committee, and the board of directors could compromise calls from future India.

Non -negotiable BCCI policy

Despite the debate, the BCCI has not shown no sign of decline. With stars like Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Shami and Shreyas Iyer Presenting regularly in the national teams, the board of directors considers that the policy strengthens the domestic structure and preserves the stature of leading tournaments such as the Duleep trophy.
