Devin Haney told Teofimo Lopez today on X, “You’ll get it” once he won his May fight Jose Ramirez in Times Square, Manhattan, New York, and his October rematch with Ryan Garcia.

Haney started by asking him why he didn’t fight Subriel Matias, but he didn’t do well. He trashed Teo’s name, calling him “TeHOE” when asking him why he didn’t face former IBF 140-lb champion Subriel (21-2, 21 KOs), who isn’t a piece of cake for anyone in the division. He would be a dreamer for Haney.

Teofimo gave these reasons for not fighting Matias:

• Top Rank wanted a fight on the West Coast. Teo wanted it in New York City
• They put the fight on PPV
• He offered $2.8 million: Teofimo responded that he is the “Last Star” of Top Rank. He mentioned Keyshawn Davis as a student of Top Rank, as their student, that he is trying to turn into a star.

If Haney can defeat Ramirez and Garcia in his next two fights, the argument against Teofimo could be huge if he is not beaten this year. Lopez hasn’t said who he wants to fight, but if he faces Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis, he could lose a lot.

He’s already had a lot of trouble trying to beat fighters at 140 pounds. Most people think that Teofimo Lopez is all about fighting.

Haney would do well to focus on what’s in front of him: Ramirez, a former WBC and WBO 140-lb champion. This guy can beat Devin and ruin his October match with Garcia.

Ramirez: End of the Line?

The war will still happen, because Turki Al-Sheikh wants to make it in Riyadh. But it would take a lot of attention out of the game if Haney loses to Ramirez. I now predict that Haney will go 0-2 in his fights in 2025, and his career will be forgotten.

Devin can continue to communicate if he has a promoter Eddie Hearn, who will put him on the task of rebuilding Joshua’s four-fight series. refactor it to factor specs. Let’s face it: Haney wasn’t great, at first, but he did well because he was melted down to fight smaller, at 135, and he fought the right guy at first when he moved to 140, Regis Prograis.
