YouTube becomes the last major technology company to settle the trial with Trump

Google YouTube agreed to pay $ 24.5 million in the United States to settle legal action by US President Donald Trump during his account suspension in 2021 after the attack on January 6, 2021 against the Capitol.

According to documents filed before the California Federal Court, US 22 million dollars of the regulation will be contributed to the National Mall trust to help pay the construction of the Ball of the White House. The rest will go to other complainants, including the American Union American.

Google is the last major technological company to settle the proceedings brought by Trump. In January, Meta agreed to pay $ 25 million in the United States to pay legal action on its suspension in 2021 of Facebook. Elon Musk’s X has agreed to settle a similar trial brought against the company then known as Twitter for US $ 10 million.
