China has executed two men who carried out two terrorist attacks within a week in November last year.

Fan Weiqiu, 62, killed at least 35 people and injured many more after his death he drove his car to the gym outside a stadium in Zhuhai, in what is believed to be China’s deadliest attack in a decade.

His execution on Monday came less than a month after a court ordered his death.

In Xu’s case, the police said he confessed his crime “without doubt” on November 16. He was sentenced to death on 17 December, with the court hearing that his crimes were “heinous” and “heinous”.

China has been struggling with communal violence in recent times, with many attackers believed to be motivated by desire “Revenge on society” – where criminals refer strangers to their complaints.

The number of such attacks in China will reach 19 in 2024.

A few days after the Zhuhai and Wuxi attacks, a man walked into a crowd of children and parents outside a primary school in the city of Changde, injuring 30 of them.
