Ange Postecoglou says his belief that he can turn Tottenham’s season around has not changed despite a sixth defeat in eight league games this afternoon.
Spurs were beaten 3-2 at Everton and came back late in the second half to earn a respectable point after a disappointing display at Goodison Park.
The relegation-threatened side trailed 3-0 at the break after tries from Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Iliman Ndiaye were added to by an own goal from Archie Gray.
Spurs improved after the break but were unable to find the back of the net after goals from Dejan Kulusevski and substitute Richarlison.

The visiting fans vented their anger at Postecoglou and the players after the final whistle but the Australian insisted he would continue to work hard to find answers.
Asked if his faith had started to fade, he told Sky Sports: “No, not really. If you look at the situation, it might end. I certainly hope and believe it will. We will allow ourselves to achieve consistency in performance and results.
“I haven’t lost faith or determination to change and the players showed in the second half that they haven’t either.”
We struggled in the first half – Ange
Injury-hit Spurs are 15th in the table, eight points above the relegation zone.
Postecoglou added: “It’s a difficult result. We fought to get into the first half and that gave Everton a boost. We gave ourselves a mountain to climb but the players tried to attack the game but we just fell short.
“We couldn’t really control the game. We struggled to take it slowly without the ball and this allowed them to get in behind us. We were lucky enough that we had to spend money in the beginning, but in the end it wasn’t enough.
“We are stretched too thin. We had a total of 11 players to start the game. We couldn’t control our team and Everton made a move and we paid the price. Radu (Dragusin) had to go down due to cuts and repairs.
“In the second half we had a good part of the game. We started strongly and I thought Richarlison made a change and presence and Mikey Moore gave us something on the left. “
Tottenham want to make a move in January
The transfer window is open and Spurs are working hard to strengthen their squad.
“There will be urgency but I don’t need to say it, everyone will see,” said Postecoglou. “I have no problem with the way the team is doing this, they are working hard and trying to find solutions. The players need help that is certain and we hope that in 10 days or so we will have a solution. It is very difficult, we are not the only ones in the market. The club is trying very hard.”
